Playtech adds Majority Rules Speed Blackjack to its growing Live Casino portfolio
After recently launching its new multiplier-based Live Roulette variant with PokerStars, British software and services supplier Playtech has now released, Majority Rules Speed Blackjack, a new live casino game designed in keeping with its community play concept.
Available across the network from July, the supplier’s latest innovation offers an uncommon twist to classic Blackjack gameplay, adding “a new level of player interaction.” Two separate modes, Majority Rules and Best Strategy, are featured in the game, with the option decided by the number of players per round.
If the game is in Majority Rules mode, each player votes on Hit, Stand, Double or Split actions. A vote of 50 percent or greater triggers an automatic action. Best Strategy mode is invoked during games with fewer players. In those cases, the pre-defined Blackjack best strategy flow automatically resolves player hands.
Whether in Majority Rules mode of Best Strategy mode, players will need to decide in advance if they will either accept a vote or the best strategy decision on Double and Split actions where additional funds are required.
Community play concept:
Chief Executive Officer for Playtech Live Casino, Edo Haitin, used an official press release to comment on the new launch, stating…
“Innovation and experience-led gameplay are at the core of our product strategy, and Majority Rules Speed Blackjack delivers on both counts. The success of our community Live Slots concept demonstrates player demand for interactive & fun games – the experience you would enjoy when playing alongside others in a land-based casino. We’re confident the combination of engaging classic Blackjack gameplay and the new collaborative, community play will be a major hit with players and will of course create the proper Speed variant for Blackjack.”
Launching as an exclusive, the new scalable live casino game was developed in collaboration with sports betting and gaming group GVC Holdings and will be available across the network from July.
Also commenting on the collaboration, Head of Live Casino for GVC, Matt Charlesworth, added…
“Everyone at GVC was delighted to work closely with Playtech on Majority Rules Speed Blackjack, through all stages of concept, design and development – and we’re excited to offer this first of its type game to our players across the GVC brands. Majority Rules Speed Blackjack captures a real community feel with the unique “Ask the Audience” voting approach to the in-game decision-making. The game is fully scalable, offering something very different for players, without deviating from classic European Blackjack with popular sidebets.”
